KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Key communication leader in running the organizational activities on promoting the rational use of antimicrobials in one health approach.
  • Trainer in the Continuous Professional Development Expansion Training on Antimicrobial Resistance and Antimicrobial Usage provided by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for human and animal health physicians.
  • Provide close technical assistance in developing specific AMR program-related standard operating procedures, letters, and other relevant materials.
  • Lead the collaboration of AMR activity with different government and non-government stakeholders of Bangladesh.
  • Develop the organizational capacity-building strategy and contribute to implementing capacity-building plans, including their monitoring.
  • Lead the awareness-raising activity, especially during World AMR Awareness Week (WAAK), across healthcare professionals, policymakers, and ordinary people regarding AMR.
  • Facilitate different meetings, programs, and other capacity-building exercises.
  • Manage and guide local leaders in the different divisions, supporting them in leading localized implementation of AMR-related activity.

SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Successfully led the collaboration to celebrate the World AMR Awareness Week (WAAK) in collaboration of different stakeholders i.e Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Communicable Disease Control (CDC), Bangladesh AMR Response Alliance (BARA), Platform of Medical and Dental Society, etc to raise awareness among policy makers to ordinary people regarding rational antimicrobial use since 2020.
  • Led the celebration of WAAK since 2017 to 100+ medical college campuses, 150+ academic institutions, pharmacists, patients, their attendances in different hospitals and ordinary peoples.
  • Trained 40 physicians from both human and animal health sector regarding AMR and AMU.
